I fully intend to make this on Saturday.

I'm so excited. It will be kind of a long cooking procedure. Which is why it will be perfect for a Saturday.

I am going to put some potatoes in it, too. The best chicken pot pie I have EVER had was in a little place in McClean, VA. (Shout-out to Jessica Baker. She is totally with me.) This was on our road-trip half-way across America. haha. Thats where her dad lives, and during the week we were in VA, I'm pretty sure we got chicken pot-pie approximately every other day. And they were huge. So we ate them for like two meals a day. Its true. SO GOOD. (They had potatoes in them.)

I can't wait. I'll let you know how it turns out.

On Sunday, we used the grill we got for our wedding for the first time. Or shall I say, Andrew used it. Yes. He grilled. Which is totally hot and manly. Oww.

We had chicken. Andrew had barbequed chicken, and I had hot sauce chicken. (Andrew doesn't like spicy things). And the hot sauce, I made from scratch, using a recipe I found online. It was compltely tasty. Just like the hot sauce you'd have on chicken in a restaurant. I hardly consider it a recipe, tho, because its just a few items mixed together and heated. Hee.

Let me say, it was really tasty. I'm so glad we finally used our grill!

Have I mentioned that I LOVE cooking? Because I do.

Since its cooling off, we haven't had to used our air conditioner lately, which I'm completely excited about, because our energy bill should be a lot better!

I love fall. I love wearing sweaters and drinking hot drinks and cooking slow-cooked meals and the way it makes my home smell. I love blankets.

Did I mention that we're going home for Christmas? Yes. We are. Mom and Dad are flying us back. Which is awesome. I can't wait.
