well well well...home again, home again, jiggity jig. so i'm back safely from my trip to Chicago.

let me tell you a fun little story about last night. and by "fun" i mean, "id rather have a root canal." (not quite, but eh.):

so my plane left chicago last night at 10:30 pm. somehow, i undershoot the time in which I thought i'd need to check in at the airport. so andrew and i go in and we go up to check my bag and get my ticket. and the woman is like "oh no."
*what?*
"its not going to let you check your bag. you're too late."
"WHAT?"
*she points to the sign* "you have to be here at least 40 minutes before your takeoff time in order to check a bag"
*i look at my phone. it was ONE minute past the cut off. CRAP*

so, much "what do i do" ensues, and me holding onto my head and beginning to freak out. the woman says i can either go on standby tomorrow (today) or have "my friend" (lol) ship my bag to me later. so i decide to check in and we decide that we're going to try to cram as much stuff as possible into my backpack to take on the plane with me, as a carry on. and she tells me i need to rush to my gate in order to make my plane. so i'm really freaking out.

so andrew and i get out of the way and walk over next to the wall and proceed to undo my bags and re-pack. so we're in the middle of ohare freakin airport, going thru underwear and everything else, cramming stuff into my backpack. so we get as much stuff as possible into my backpack, and thankfully, most of the necesities were brought home with me. and so, i start crying because of being frusterated and worried about getting to my plane and not making it home with my stuff, and i'm also crying because i'm leaving andrew and thats just what i do. and so i'm just looking really stupid and making a mess of things, and andrew is being so calm about it. hes like "dena, you need to calm down. everything is going to be alright." because i just like, stopped packing, and covered my face with my hands and started crying really hard. i couldn't function or anything. and hes like "dena, come here" and he pulls me to him and wraps me up in a hug. it was very sweet....anyway

long story short, i rushed off to my plane and didn't miss it.

the end.

Well, right now I'm in Andrew's room. And Im sitting next to him while he plays guitar. Which I really enjoy. (of course. :) I love it when i hear him play guitar.) My trip here has been awesome good times. We've had a lot of fun and good talks. Watched some movies, went disc golfing, out to eat, etc. Went to work with him one night in the Lew.
And I'd like to say, the ladies i'm staying with have been incredible. Lisa and Kelly. Great hospitality and I've had fun with them. :)
