Ps....this is a new thing...I'm going to start posting a song of the moment. This is how it will work...it will either be a song that I particularly am in love with at the moment...or a song that has special significance to me a the moment...or a song that touches me...something of that sort...i will generally not give an explanation as to how or why its the song of the moment...but thats ok...so...this is the first song of the moment:

Derek and Sandra Webb's version of Bob Dylan's "To Make You Feel My Love" from the Live Recording that took place here in Kansas City on July 22, 2000...The day DW proposed to Sandra...oh yes...it freaking rocks my socks off. Everytime I listen to it, i get all swoony. It gives me goosebumps. It. is awesome. (If you're not familiar with my whole Derek and Sandra's love story rocking my socks off, then....you don't know me very well...heheh!...no...ne way)...this song...is covered in awesome sauce for so many reasons...so I'll just post the lyrics...and if you don't have the recording, I shall send it to you...it will change your life (probably not, but oh well).

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong

I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
There's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love

The storms are raging on the rollin' sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
To make you feel my love

So...I will start with now and work my way backwards.

I have the flu or something. i don't know what the hecks wrong with me. I feel alot better this morning than I did yesterday tho...like a 36 hour flu or something. Fever and upset stomach. SUCKS.

Resurrection day was decent. Went to my church and then to church with Bubby.

Gabe proposed to Danielle on Sunday. Oh yes. Yes he did. :D Frickin awesome. Seriously.

Met with the family who had the nanny position on Saturday. Got the job :D. This is how it went down: I met the family at their house. Well...I met the mom and dad and four year old and eight year old and the 14 year old...the 11 yr old wasn't home. So we all talked. And then Barbara and the two youngest (girls) took a ride with me to check out my driving (hehe) and we drove to two of the kids' schools. As soon as I got home, i got a phone call from Barbara telling me they wanted me for the job if i was still interested. And that as soon as they walked in the house from our drive (and I left), Elizabeth (11) goes, "Ok...how bout we rate her on a scale from 1 to 10." so barbara goes, "you go first" and Elizabeth goes "i give her a 10." and then they asked Anna (4) and she goes "I give her a 10, too" ....lol...YAY! I get to nanny! i am supah excited about this guys...this is really perfect for me, I think. :)

The trip to Springfield was OFF tha hook. Oh man...so...I picked up Kendon on Friday morning and we drove to Ben's house. His mom gave me coffee, and a few minutes later Brendan and Megan were walking in the door, Ben with Video cam in hand to capture the trip for posterity. Hehe...it felt weird to be on the other end of the video cam. Ne who...so...originally, I didn't know Megan was coming, so it was cool to have another chick along. Ok. I will say, the trip was very very fun. and it was humorus to be a part of it...because. The three guys? Kendon, Ben and Brendan...are like...DIE hard fans of the rocket summer, people..so..they were goin nuts. I was like "Now i know what it feels like to be on the other end of the hanson concert." haha...like...how i used to get so into the hanson concerts and how people going to concerts with me that weren't die hard fans must have felt.

So...we took off friday morning. I rode in the van with Ben and Kendon. And Brendan and Megan rode in her car in front of us. Lots of good tunes on the way down. And then we stopped in Collins MO at Peggys restaurant. That was good times. And then I rode with Megan the rest of the way to Springfield and the boys rode together in the van.

So, as soon as we got into town, we drove straight to the venue where the show was to be that night. Nu Brew Coffee House. Which is also apparantly a church too...weird. And the boys are goin nuts. lol. we took lots of pictures. then we went thrift store shopping. hehe...and these two old men almost started a fight in salvation army. no joke...it was scary. Then we came back to Nu Brew. We killed some time just chillin in the van. Kendon began getting a migrane. I busted out my guitar and played a little. Then I called Chris. And Chris drove to meet us at Nu Brew. Meanwhile, Brendan, Megan and Ben took off to The Bass Pro Shop. Kendon and I stayed behind to wait for Chris. Chris got to Nu Brew, we said our hellos and Kendon and I rode with Chris to Bass Pro Shop. We all chilled at the Bass Pro shop and had lots o laughs. Pictures and such were taken. We walked around, etc etc. Then Chris and I went off to do our thing and the rest of the kids drove back to Nu Brew.

It rained. Chris and I drove to his apartment. I met his roomate. Good times. Then we were going to go eat, but we got disctracted by going into this sweet action music store.
